Market Analysis of Uganda Rural Electrification Transformer in 2022

Uganda accelerates rural electrification to meet the balance of electricity supply and demand, involving 13 power supply services areas of Uganda, more than 110 regions and 287 counties, and construction sites all over the country.

The implementation of the project not only provides demonstration models for Uganda’s rural electrification construction, but also has certain demonstration roles to promote the popularity of surrounding countries and throughout African rural grids.

Rapid development of rural electrification construction in the country

In recent years, the Uganda Government has conducted a lot of investment in power generation and high voltage transmission. With the completion and operation of large hydropower stations such as Carruma and Ismapa, Uganda’s total installed machine capacity is expected to reach 2051 MW in 2020. However, according to the current growth rate of the power grid, Uganda will only consume 733 MW installed capacity, and the supply and demand gap will reach 1318 megawatts.

This means that Uganda will face problems with severe power generation capacity and electricity capacity, and will also affect the economic benefits of Uganda’s large hydropower stations and high-voltage transmission lines in recent years. At the same time, Uganda’s current level of electrification is low, the coverage is only about 7%. The universal ablation of rural areas has seriously affected the development of Uganda, and the improvement of people’s living standards and the support and support of the current government.

In view of the above, the Uganda government has continued to build a large hydropower station and the high-voltage transmission line, the next key work will be the rapid development of the national distribution network construction and rural electrical construction.

After years of innovative development, Liaocheng Huarui Electric Co., Ltd. has developed three strategic emerging industries, three strategic emerging industries, new energy, new energy, and new materials, has developed into a world transmission industry. Pioneer enterprises in the power industry realize the transformation from manufacturing to the manufacturing service industry, manufacturing from single machine to system, and then serving the world with China Electric Power Standard.

Future smart grid upgrade guarantee

In order to ensure economic applicability, Huarui Electric will apply some Chinese standards to this project, combined with the local climate characteristics and equipment requirements of Uganda, from reducing transformer loss, adopting a split prepaid meter and other aspects. This improvement reduces the airborne loss and load loss of the transformer, improves the management level of local power operators, and improves the reliability of the operating meter, providing a guarantee for future smart grid upgrades.

In order to ensure long-term, effective, stable operation of Uganda’s rural grid, Huarui Electric has developed a detailed operation management and maintenance plan, including training, regular inspections, regular consultation answers, and problem processing.

Effectively improve the living standards of Uganda people

The implementation of the project will effectively expand the coverage of Uganda Rural Power Grid, speed up the rural electrification process, thereby promoting the development of small enterprises in rural areas, accelerating the development of Uganda economy, and improve the living standards of the local people. More importantly, the project will greatly improve the situation in which Uganda’s future power generation capacity and electricity capacity, improves the economic benefits of Uganda power generation and high voltage transmission projects, and increases the financial revenue of the Uganda government.
